A DWR exclusive, the Timberline Table Lamp's (1979) curved bentwood spine, pleated canvas shade, and cast-iron base captures an iconic era of Scandinavian design. Danish lighting designer Mads Capriani drew material inspiration from “tree lines” – the natural boundaries where wood meets rock. As for the sinuous shape of the spine? Caprani’s family says he was doodling question marks, trying to think of the right form, when he realized he’d found his answer.
